About the Role
This position provides place-based and outreach case management for women and children who have experienced or are currently experiencing family violence. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality family violence and child well-being responses, including assessment, crisis support, and advocacy.
Our approach is grounded in principles of empowerment, self-determination, and holistic care. Reporting to the Team Leader this is a permanent part time role (34.2 hours a week) based in Southern Tasmania. Salary is in accordance with SCHADS Level 5.
How you will make an impact
- Build trusting, respectful relationships with clients that encourage their participation and decision-making.
- Provide expert case management support from intake through to recovery, with individualized plans co-developed and led by clients.
- Assist clients to access community services and provide advocacy as needed.
- Monitor progress and adapt support plans to ensure client goals are being met.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records and communicate risks promptly.
- Collaborate with your team to identify service gaps and recommend improvements.
- Participate in an on-call roster to support urgent needs.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or Family Violence (Graduate Certificate or equivalent).
- Experience in the family violence sector is highly valued, particularly specialist family violence or child wellbeing work.
- Proven case management skills with strong time management and ability to work independently.
- Compassionate, empowering approach and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in data and record management systems.
