Salary range: $68,120 pro rata + 13.5% superannuation.
About the role
This role contributes to the success of the City by delivering gym sessions at the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre, with a focus on member engagement, consistency of service delivery, and continuous improvement. The Gym Instructor also supports the day-to-day operation of the gym.
Role accountabilities include:
- Supervising the gym to ensure user safety.
- Delivering high-quality customer support and responding to health and fitness enquiries.
- Conducting client inductions, personal training, rehabilitation, and group fitness sessions.
- Performing pre-activity screenings and advising on exercise interventions.
- Monitoring gym usage and maintaining accurate client records.
- Supporting emergency procedures and other duties as directed.

About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30321) (Preferred).
- Holds current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Is registered to work with vulnerable people.
- Has experience delivering individual fitness sessions and developing exercise programs.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal, organisational, and computer skills.
- Can work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
